A design is then applied to the screen, blocking the ink from passing through. As a result, only the areas without the design receive the ink.

Next, we lower the screen onto the item (such as a t-shirt, label, sign, etc.) to apply the ink. We then add the paint to the screen and use a squeegee—similar to the one you use for cleaning windows, but with industrial strength—to spread the paint evenly over the design.
